On February 9-10, 2017, M’lup Russey cooperated with Siem Reap’s Veterans Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation in order to organize a training on the implementation of policies on alternative childcare, model of standardization and case management. Holding Officials of the USSR Officers of CEC and CEC Officers of Siem Reap, Prasat Bakong and Sopheak District. 45 men and 35 women attended.
The training was presided over by HE Tea Channy, Technical Director of Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, Mr. AO Mao, Director of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and Mr. Lao Songheng, Project Manager of M’lup Russey Organization.
At the commencement of the training course, HE Tea Channy, Technical Director of Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, had a friendly talk with all participants and thanked the M’lup Russey Organization for their continued support in supporting the Ministry. Social, veterans and youth rehabilitation as well as relevant sub-national authorities in the field of child welfare, both financially and technically.
He further stated that M’lup Russey is carrying out projects and activities similar to the objectives of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, which wants to train the sub-national officials working on the wellbeing of children. That they now have the capacity to effectively implement their duties and responsibilities.
He also stressed that the social sector is working with people from youth to the elderly, so that those who work in the social sector must have a wider knowledge and that they have to go through the training and demand for persistent achievements to help vulnerable.
On the other hand, HE Tea Channy also said that the ministry is preparing for decentralization to the sub-national level and that all sub-national officials must strengthen their capacity to supplement their policies and procedures. On the implementation of policies on alternative childcare and the use of standardized written standards. Any problems become a great loss of benefits to children.
At the end of the day, he also instructed all trainees to listen to the facilitator’s presentation. If there was any questions, to be brave enough to raise them and get the all the knowledge possible from this training so that it can be carried out at their locations of management.

He thanked all the participants for their valuable time to participate in the training and requested all participants take the knowledge gained from this training to their local practice to help the vulnerable populations under their care to get the most out of their new training.
